The Manager – IT Infrastructure & Security leads our IT teams and is responsible for the stability, security, and efficiency of our IT landscape across all locations. This role is for a people leader with strong IT infrastructure and security experience, focused on optimization, cost control, and sustainable operations rather than hands-on execution.
Lead, develop, and rebuild IT teams, fostering a high-performance and accountable culture
Define team goals, conduct performance reviews, and support career development
Own end-to-end IT infrastructure, cloud, and security operations
Manage a hybrid Azure-based, Microsoft-focused environment, including on-premise systems
Ensure reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency of servers, networks, and cloud services
Drive storage and backup strategy and optimization, addressing capacity, resilience, and cost
Define, implement, and monitor security, risk, and compliance standards, including US compliance requirements
Lead infrastructure and security-related projects from planning to delivery
Act as escalation point for major IT incidents, ensuring effective communication and root-cause prevention
Manage vendors, contracts, and service providers, ensuring value for money and SLA compliance
Own and optimize the IT infrastructure and security budget
Drive a shift from speed to efficiency and sustainability, delivering measurable cost reductions
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; a Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM) are a plus
Proven experience leading and managing IT teams
Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management with a focus on infrastructure and security
Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, and cloud technologies
In-depth knowledge of security practices, frameworks, and compliance requirements (e.g. GDPR, NIST 800-53)
Excellent project management skills, with experience managing multiple projects in parallel
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical topics to non-technical stakeholders
Proven track record in managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts
