The Manager – IT Infrastructure & Security leads our IT teams and is responsible for the stability, security, and efficiency of our IT landscape across all locations. This role is for a people leader with strong IT infrastructure and security experience, focused on optimization, cost control, and sustainable operations rather than hands-on execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and rebuild IT teams, fostering a high-performance and accountable culture

• Define team goals, conduct performance reviews, and support career development

• Own end-to-end IT infrastructure, cloud, and security operations

• Manage a hybrid Azure-based, Microsoft-focused environment, including on-premise systems

• Ensure reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency of servers, networks, and cloud services

• Drive storage and backup strategy and optimization, addressing capacity, resilience, and cost

• Define, implement, and monitor security, risk, and compliance standards, including US compliance requirements

• Lead infrastructure and security-related projects from planning to delivery

• Act as escalation point for major IT incidents, ensuring effective communication and root-cause prevention

• Manage vendors, contracts, and service providers, ensuring value for money and SLA compliance

• Own and optimize the IT infrastructure and security budget

• Drive a shift from speed to efficiency and sustainability, delivering measurable cost reductions

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; a Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM) are a plus

• Proven experience leading and managing IT teams

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management with a focus on infrastructure and security

• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, and cloud technologies

• In-depth knowledge of security practices, frameworks, and compliance requirements (e.g. GDPR, NIST 800-53)

• Excellent project management skills, with experience managing multiple projects in parallel

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical topics to non-technical stakeholders

• Proven track record in managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts
