What awaits you at Mynaric

Develop and build test workstations for in-house manufactured optical mirrors and telescope systems.
Define and implement optical alignment and test setups before manufacturing (using interferometers, autocollimators, wavefront sensors, etc.).
Support geometric dimensioning and tolerancing test solutions (e.g., with coordinate measurement machines).
Conduct reliability and reproducibility studies to qualify tests for serial production.
Work independently to improve production processes and drive efficiency in serial manufacturing.
Coordinate closely with Engineering and Operations to ensure test capabilities are effectively deployed.
Actively contribute to future projects by promoting manufacturable designs and challenging overly complex specifications.
Support transition of high-end optical assemblies from Design to Production.

What you bring with you

Degree in engineering, physics, or related technical field (specialization in optics/photonics is a plus).
Practical experience with optical metrology equipment (interferometers, autocollimators, wavefront sensors, etc.).
Strong problem-solving skills and experience in test automation (LabView, Python, C++/C#).
Good understanding of optical and mechanical design drawings.
Experience with high-volume optics manufacturing and CMMs is a plus.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles is an advantage.
Knowledge of optical design tools (Code V, Zemax, or equivalent) is a plus.
Excellent communication skills in English, written and spoken. German language is an advantage.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
